July 2019 - Styles 4 Kidz

I often find organizations I want to donate to through social media. I am grateful for social media for finding out about Styles 4 Kidz. Their mission is: "To provide high-quality, compassionate haircare education and services for African-American kids in foster care and transracial adoptive families." Black hair is unique and needs different techniques than what other racial groups use. How cool is it that this organization stepped in to teach this to parents who opened up their home and hearts to black children. The foster care system is far from perfect but I'm so happy to see this organization adding a light to some dark situations. For more information and to donate, visit their site at styles4kidz.org.
