December 2017 - Central Union Mission

My December 2017 donation is going to Central Union Mission. It is a local Christian organization in the DC area. I found them while researching where I could sponsor kids for Christmas years ago. Since then, my daughter and I have volunteered with the organization several times. I really love what they do and I have had great experiences with the staff. I usually buy gifts for kids or send toiletries for the homeless but this year I wanted to give money for food. DC is terribly expensive and also terribly cold right now. I couldn't imagine being homeless or hungry. Since I've been so blessed, it is my duty to pass it down to others.
